Riding the Tiger of Quick & Drastic Methods
Riding the Tiger is a metaphor to describe the power of Hatha Yoga's methods, and its ability to quickly transform the body & mind.
Will your current lifestyle bring you what you want?
Get the clarity you need to transform.
___
Topics & Benefits:
#1
Profound Partnerships
Learn how the spiritual qualities of ethical relationships quickly bring us unmatched joy.
What is a Profound Partnership?
A profound partnership is when you engage in a relationship (romantic or platonic) with the specific motivation to help others. Yoga practitioners use every method available to remove pain in the world, including relationships.
Benefits of practice:
- May be the fastest path to the highest goals of yoga
- Integrating this partner into your daily life provides a constant opportunity for powerful practice
- Upgrade your most precious relationships
#2
Methodology of Inner Body Practices
Don't let a magical moment pass! Take control of the powerful energy that emerges in practice to unlock a new level of meditation.
How to do we practice these methods?
Live a Hatha Yoga lifestyle, where ethics, physical postures, breathwork, seals, partner practice and inner sound are used to gradually open inner energetic pathways. Use the outer body to establish a suitable inner body to work at the level of the mind.
These methods redirect the flow of inner energy to trigger insight that improves our life in every way.
Benefits of practice:
- Experience everything life has to offer as a beautiful teaching
- Control addictions, food intake and manage external stimuli
- Mastery of the senses
- A lasting feeling of fulfillment and contentment, gained by knowing how to turn any activity into a profound practice
- Learn practices that trigger deeper insight
#3
Four Stages of Unmatched Joy
Physical and mental joy increase as we understand the subtle body and how to use it, producing profound spiritual results.
What are the four stages of Unmatched Joy?
This is the culmination of our Hatha Yoga practice. The inner & outer methods prepared our bodies and minds, setting the stage for a blissful state of being.
When the inner winds enter the heart chakra in a profound way, we will undergo four types of ecstasy; this is the final form of joy and wisdom, which is the wisdom that sees emptiness directly.
Benefits of practice:
- Abiding in a state of blissful meditation all day long, regardless of external conditions
- Defeat the inner critic that holds you back, and replace it with a voice of pure joy
- Be the kind of person that brings happiness to your community

Learn from Master Teacher Michael Roach
Last time Geshe Michael taught this text, he said, "we don’t plan to teach it again. So I think if you like the subject, then I think it’s important to try learn the whole thing now while you can."
Don't miss this opportunity to join this course!
Michael Roach is the first American to complete the “Geshe” degree after 25 years of study in India. At the same time, he helped found Andin International Diamond Corporation in New York City; he used yogic principles to grow it from a small investment to garnering $250 million USD in annual sales. Then, super-investor Warren Buffet purchased Andin in 2009. Geshe Michael used almost all of the profits from the sale to create and support several charitable organizations, one of which was an input project that has now digitized over two million pages of Asia's classic philosophical texts.
Get the essence of the essence of the most essential text in yoga philosophy.
To translate the Hatha Yoga Pradipika authentically requires one to practice the teachings for many years; this is best accomplished in deep retreat.
It is from the experience—gained from performing these practices in deep solitude—that allowed Geshe Michael to translate this text authentically, experientially, and like few masters before.
This is how YSI does yoga differently.
About the Hatha Yoga Pradipika
The Hatha Yoga Pradipika describes the science and philosophy of Hatha Yoga:
+ asana (physical postures)
+ pranayama (breath and subtle energy)
+ shatkarma (cleansing)
+ mudra (subtle energetic connection)
+ bandha (energetic locks)
+ samadhi (perfect meditation)
These practices, when combined with deep understanding of how and why they work, help us to overcome the challenges and struggles that hold us back in our day-to-day life.
Written in the 15th century by Master Swatmarama, the text reveals a path to its practitioners; this path will ultimately lead to a sense of rich vitality, deep internal peace, and total personal fulfillment, not only for ourselves, but in order to help others.

We do yoga differently. If you've taken our other courses and classes, then you already know that! When practice is based in original yogic wisdom, it just feels different.
We source our material from over two million pages of classic Asian texts, which our partners at the Asian Legacy Library have preserved and digitized. Together, our teams have taken painstaking measures to translate, understand, and apply the original yogic texts, all so that we could share them with you in a clear and accessible way.
